Day and night are equal at the start of Libra. The decan keeps something of that in it. Planets here are relational before they are anything else. The first move is almost always toward the other person: a question returned, a preference softened, the distance between two people measured and matched. It is graceful and it is quick, and most of it happens below conscious thought.

How it differs from the rest of the sign

Libra's three decans balance different things. This one balances people, one pair at a time. The second brings Aquarius in and the fairness becomes principled, applied to groups and to rules rather than to whoever is present; the third brings Gemini and it becomes conversational and considerably lighter. Here it stays personal and immediate, which makes it the warmest of the three and the least able to be unpopular.
